Build Site Support

We ask staff to sign up for at least 3 Build Site Support shifts over the course of the build season.

BUILD SITE SUPPORT DETAILS (ALL POSITIONS):
· Wear your Habitat Staff shirt & Name Tag
· Arrive at your post by 6:45am
· Stay until at least 8am

PARKING INFO:
· When you park, “prime” the lot to give an example to follow
· Obtain a vest & flag from tub at entrance to parking lot.
· Direct cars to park as needed.
· Keep cars close together
· Return vest & flag to tub
· P1 – stand just inside the lot entrance and direct cars to P2.
· P2 – always directing cars exactly where to park; keeping cars CLOSE together.

WELCOMING INFO:
· When you park, “prime” the gravel lot to give an example to follow
· W1 – Welcome volunteers and direct them to build site
· W2 – Stand between the parking lot and the build site and instruct volunteers which direction to go to find their house. Ask if volunteers registered on line. If no, provide waiver
· W3- equip volunteers with PPE- glasses, mask, gloves

COVID-19 Message:

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville has been actively monitoring CDC guidelines and the evolving parameters recommended by the State of Tennessee. We want to assure you we are dedicated to protecting the safety and well-being of our volunteers, staff members, and partners. As such, the following safety measures have been implemented on the build site.

  • All volunteers will be given new PPE- hardhat, safety glasses, gloves and a face covering. Face coverings are required while on the build site. Volunteers may bring their own face coverings, gloves and safety glasses. Personal sunglasses and/or regular glasses will substitute for safety glasses. No PPE will be shared.
  • Habitat volunteers will follow recommended CDC guidelines for social distancing.
  • Any volunteer or staff member who does not feel well or who is running a temperature, showing signs of acute respiratory illness or difficulty breathing should not come to the build site.
