Nashville Davidson

Applications are currently being accepted for new 2 and 3 bedroom townhomes to be built in 2021 in the Sherwood Commons neighborhood. All units are two stories with bedrooms upstairs. Two bedroom units cannot have households greater than 4 people and 3 bedroom units cannot exceed 6 people. Applications are currently closed. We anticipate opening applications again on January 21, 2021 for two-bedroom townhomes (more info below).  Check back January 15, 2021 for updates.

Robertson

Not available at this time. Check back in 2021.

Wilson

Applications are currently closed.   We anticipate opening applications again on January 21, 2021.  Check back January 15, 2021 for updates.

 

Wilson County Habitat homes are currently being built in Lebanon, TN which is located 31 miles east of downtown Nashville.  These homes are two-story with three bedrooms.

What You Will Need To Complete The Application
  • Information for all applicants and household members
  • Sources and amounts of income for all applicants and household members
  • Monthly expense amounts for items such as rent, utilities, and loans
  • A paystub for all jobs in the household
  • Self employed individuals will need to reference their most recent tax return and current year estimated monthly income.
  • Employment start/hire dates
  • Move-in date for current residence
  • A credit or debit card to pay the application fee ($20 per applicant)
What Happens After Submitting the Online Application

1. Initial Review – Within 30 days, you will be notified of your status by email:

Decline/Adverse Action – If you are declined, your notice will let you know the reasons why.

Notice of Incomplete – If there is no initial reason to decline your application, we will request additional information to continue our review. This will include copies of paystubs, tax returns, other income information, bank statements, bills, credit card and loan statements, identification documents for the entire household, and other items specific to your situation. You will have 30 days to complete these requirements.

 

2. Additional Review – Once we review your additional information, we may find that you do not qualify and will send an Adverse Action Notice. Otherwise, we will continue to verify all aspects of your eligibility.

3. Interview – This will be conducted by Habitat staff to review your eligibility and ensure your understanding of the program.

4. Home Visit – Two volunteer members of the Homeowner Selection Committee will conduct a home visit with you to understand your housing need and affirm your desire to partner with Habitat.

5. Partnership Decision – The Homeowner Selection Committee will vote to approve or decline your application in the month following your home visit.

*Due to COVID-19, in-person interaction will be limited in all aspects of this process. Phone call and video conferencing may be used.
